My girls and I have been singing since we were in our high school years. We all have the talent not just in singing but also in writing songs. We’ve always wanted to become known because we not just sing but we have wonderful voices that we think would qualify us to become professional singers. As a group, we all have something in common. We want to sing R n B songs in acapella versions. Many people told us that we sing wonderfully and a little close to become superstars. Well, anything is possible they say. So, we’ve decided to audition to different labels but nothing really happened after that. But we never lose hope;we surfed through the internet and find some sites that might be of help to us. Unfortunately, there is none of them that have the capability in making our dreams into reality. Not until a friend told me about Munite, so, immediately I browsed their site to learn more from them. Finally, I’ve found what I’ve been looking forward. As I’ve read through their page, I became impressed with what they can do for us musicians. I’ve learned that Munite has a purpose of helping those with music talents to discover more of what they do and harness them to improve their talents as musicians to prepare them to the next level.

We were impressed with Munite’s good purpose for musicians like me. They are not just molding them to improve their talents. And aside from that, Munite is building communities and facilitating partnerships to musical genres to fortify and strengthen relationships with a meaningful purpose. My girls and I have decided to join Munite and we are absolutely ready to discover more of what we can do for the love of music. I want to encourage those musicians that have all that it takes to be a star but have hesitations to come out in the open to have the courage to show what you got. And join us at Munite because they are probably the ones who can really help you enhance your talents and make your dreams come true.

Movie Reviews this week looks at the futuristic sci-fi drama Repo Men.

It stars Jude Law (Cold Mountain) as Remy and Forest Whitaker (mesmerising in The Last King of Scotland) as Jake.

In the world we currently live in, you may borrow money from a bank or a loan provider, and if you can’t keep up with the payments, the bank or loan provider can seize your property or your goods.
In the world of Repo Men, instead of property being taken if you are unable to keep up with your payments, it is organs that have been loaned out, and the Repo Men are responsible for removing artificial organs from people who are unable to keep up with payments, and this they do literally.

A company that has made it possible for those requiring liver transplants and various other organs that need replacing to get artificial ones, but they have to continue with very excessive payment terms, or else Remy and Jake will be sent to remove their property; We are first introduced into what Remy does from the start of the movie as he retrieves organs from an unfortunate individual, as he puts it “If you can’t pay your mortgage the bank comes and takes it…If you can’t pay for your car the bank comes and take it…If you can’t pay for your organs I come and take it”, and he shows us what he does complete with gore, and I must say this movie isn’t for the faint hearted, it is full of gore and violence than most Hollywood mainstream movies.

It also stars the drop dead gorgeous Alice Braga (I Am Legend) as Beth, who has had a stream of artificial body parts right down to her eyes, whom Jake and Remy had been previously assigned to repossess.

Repo Men obviously has a great deal of analogy with debt collection in the world today, you could literally substitute the organs with any other type of secured debt, and the results could frighteningly be the same. Matters take a sudden twist when Remy in the line of duty finds himself needing the artificial organs he routinely removes from others, and when the inevitable happens and he is unable to keep up the payments, it leaves some in the company they work for; with some hard choices to make, and as is customary with new insight when you are now the victim, it leads to Remy questioning the validity of such a practice, and the motives of the company as a whole.
So you want to be a jazz pianist. Why not take up jazz piano lesson to become a jazz pianist?

Veteran’s Day began as a celebration of World War I veterans, and it has since become a day to remember and pay respect to all those who serve in our military. Countless lives have been sacrificed by military personnel to preserve our freedom. Many leave their families to travel to foreign nations not knowing if they will return to see them again. This day honors them and all they do. There have been lots of great films made to portray the life of a soldier, and watching these films is a great way to celebrate the day.

Saving Private Ryan

This movie shows the impact of war on the family left behind. When a mother is set to receive the heartbreaking news of three of her sons’ deaths on the same day, a mission is born: Bring her last son back home. All but one brother was killed in action in World War II, and a company of soldiers is sent to bring the last brother home.

Glory

The Civil War was more than battles on fields. The first all black company was recruited to fight for the Union, and emotions heightened when they were not allowed to perform on the battlefield. They were used for manual labor, denied the same supplies as white soldiers and paid less than white soldiers. Despite these inequalities, the soldiers fought for the freedom of all.

Black Hawk Down

An invasion of Somalia to take out some top warlords was executed by Army Rangers in this blockbuster film starring Josh Hartnett. When the Black Hawk helicopters who brought the men in the city are taken down in the attack, acts of heroism are demonstrated by the Rangers in their efforts to save the soldiers on board the choppers.

The Patriot

Mel Gibson demonstrates how a man’s family is not to be messed with, even in the name of war. The American Revolution was fought to bring the birth of a new nation to the attention of the world. When a man known for his courage, bravery and even savagery in the French and Indian War seems to have become a passivist, his son goes off to join the war. Events unfold and a British officer murders the man’s younger son. This causes the man to unleash the savage inside him once again, and he takes his revenge to the battlefield.

Fly Boys

Before America tossed it’s hand into the fight of World War I, young men wanted to find a way to help the cause. This film shows a group of young Americans going to France to become a heroic group of fighter pilots. The Lafayette Escadrille was a group of volunteers, mostly Americans, that took the fight to the air.

William Shakespeare was a prolific writer – writing 37 plays, 154 sonnets in his lifetime. His works contained approximately 20,000 different words – an approximate indication of his vast vocabulary. On average an educated person tends to have between 8-10,000 words. Of those 20,000 words approximately 2,000 were new to the dictionary. Equally, from his plays, Shakespeare demonstrated his intimate knowledge of the legal system, the political system and an intricate knowledge of Northern Italy a place he never visited, yet alone lived. So why do many people believe he didn’t write his own plays. Here are what we consider to be the top ten reasons as to why shakespeare was a fraud. Judge for yourself.

1) Illiteracy of his Parents. His father, John Shakespeare was a glover by trade, making leather gloves for the nobility of Elizabethan times. He signed his own documents using the symbol of a glover’s compass, i.e. without a signature. His Mother was also illiterate – she signed her name with a Running Horse.

2) His Education. There are NO records to show Shakespeare’s schooling. ASSUMPTIONS can only therefore be made. Given his father was elected as Alderman in the local community he would have had free schooling for his children as a perk of privilege his position held. With reasonable assumption Shakespeare is believed to have gone to King Edward IV Grammar School in Stratford. Anecdotal evidence shows his father had difficulties in his business and that Shakespeare joined him in the business, at the age of 14. In Elizabethan times there were two universities (Oxford & Cambridge) with attendance records. There are NO records of Shakespeare going to University.

3) Illiteracy of his own kids. Why is it that his daughters were illiterate? His daughters signed documents with a mark in one case (Judith), and his elder daughter (Susanna) signing a document with “a painfully formed signature, which was probably the most that she was capable of doing with the pen.” ( Paleographer E. Maunde) Thompson)

4) NO documentation ANYWHERE exists that PROVES Shakespeare wrote his own plays. NO original manuscripts have ever been found.

5) NO correspondence has ever been seen from Shakespeare to Anyone. In other words there is NO evidence of any of his own literacy whatsoever.

6) His will:In his will there were NO manuscripts, NO books or ANY form of literary legacy left to any of the beneficiaries of his will.

7) The Burial Records of Shakespeare: Shakespeare died in 1616. The burial records of Shakespeare show him as a “gent” and not a “playwright”.

8 ) None of his plays were published until 7 years after his death when the First Folio was released in 1623. Other writers of the time had their works published during their lifetime.

9) The ONLY documentation that exists in Shakespeare’s own hand are six scrawled signatures, three of which are in his own will.

10) In his own will he signs his name three times and spells it differently each time. This is a document he would be in control of.
